HARVEST OF EMPIRE : In this interview with Amy Goodman, “Democracy Now!” co-host, professor, longtime journalist and author Juan González talks about the revised edition of his landmark 2000 book, “Harvest of Empire: A History of Latinos in America.” González’s best-seller has been expanded to include more contemporary Lantix history, such as U.S. immigration policy under Presidents Trump and Biden, the overpolicing of non-U.S. citizens and how it connects to a history of Western colonialism in the region.
