The West awakes from its deep slumber to challenge Israel’s criminalities
The EU has seemingly awoken from a deep slumber. They have begun to shun the alienation of the Palestinians that they had indulged in at the height of Zionist attacks on the people of Gaza.
Marx would have described the West’s political indifference of the Palestinian condition as a tendency to prioritize colonialist expansionism as advocated by political indifferentism. Europe is finally releasing itself from the effects of ithe political opium it had consumed in rather large quantums for the last 18 + months – worse ever since The Nakba in 1948. They are now shocked by a new consciousness into standing up to Israel’s savagery against the Gazan population.
Their direct threats of sanctions will certainly shake up Netanyahu’s overconfidence.
